In December of 2016, the Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) announced that performers Carrie Imler and Batkhurel Bold will retire following the conclusion of the 2016/2017 performance season.

A Carlisle, Pennsylvania, native, Imler began her PNB career in 1995. She moved up to the corps de ballet in 1996, became a soloist in 2000, and was promoted to principal in 2002. Imler received her training through Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School.

Bold is a native of Ulan Bator, Mongolia, who received his training through the Perm Choreographic Academy in Russia. Joining the PNB as a member of the corps de ballet in 1996, he went on to become soloist in 1999 and was eventually promoted to principal in 2004.

The PNB Season Encore Performance in June will be especially dedicated to the two dancers and their remarkable careers. Tickets for that event will be available beginning in March of 2017.
